Morgan Reed Plans to Attend Minnesota State University-Makato
Morgan Reed is a senior at Arrowhead High School. She plans on attending Minnesota State University-Mankato in the fall for nursing. Reed applied to multiple other schools including Carthage College, the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire, and the University of Arizona. Reed originally planned to attend the University of Arizona or the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire. In the end, she chose Mankato because of their nursing program and building.
“When I visited, the campus just felt right,” said Reed.
Reed said, “My career goal is to be able to work as a registered nurse in all different areas of a hospital.”
Reed will not be living on campus her freshman year. She made this decision to have a more private living space. Instead, she will be living in college apartments, Stadium Heights. The apartment building is a five minute drive to campus.
Reed says she is nervous and excited about starting college. Reed said, “My biggest fear for college is probably the idea of being on my own, being away from my family and friends, along with trying to meet new people.”
