Senior Liam Coughlin said, “The boys team has been playing pretty well recently and the other day, I saw Carter Gilmore drop 35, which was pretty impressive.”
Junior Ryan Lee said, “They should do alright in playoffs, but I do think the girls team will go a lot farther than the boys because I heard the girls are like top 5 in the state.”
The girls basketball team is 13-1 right now and 8-0 in conference play. The girls are on a 13 straight winning streak after starting the season off with a loss. The Warhawks have climbed all the way up to fourth place in the state, according to max preps.

Junior, Josh Duimstra said, “13 wins in a row is pretty impressive and I could imagine that is a lot of momentum to take into the playoffs.”
Senior, Ian Melnick said, “I’m anxious to see how the boys team does in the playoffs, because I’ve heard they are coming together pretty well as a team.”
Senior, Luke Clendenning said, “I think that the girls will do well in playoffs, way better than the boys team this year.”
Arrowhead basketball’s philosophy, according to the Arrowhead website is, “Our team will be built with the concepts listed below as the cornerstones of our foundation. In order to make sure that the foundation is strong we must reinforce these concepts as much as possible. The repetition of these concepts will give the players the confidence they need to be successful.”
Both Arrowhead teams will be put to the test come playoff time and will show if the philosophy of hard work and dedication paid off.
