Gnash Comes to the Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee
“The u, me, and us” tour made its way to the Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee this past Tuesday, October 18th. The concert started at roughly 8:00 p.m, and concluded by 10:20 p.m.
This tour included the main performer, Gnash, along with an opening act performance by Goody Grace.Gnash is a singer, songwriter, and DJ who has been performing all over the United States and has popular hit songs such as “I Hate U, I Love U” and “You Only Call Me When It Is Raining Out.”
In attendance was Arrowhead senior Kyle Lipske. Lipske says, “It was lit.”
Lipske says, “The Gnash performance was awesome, but I would rate them a five [out of ten] because they were good, but not very exciting.”
Lipske says he has attended many other concerts at the Rave/Eagles Club, such as G Eazy, Lil Yachty, and Lil Uzi Vert.
“The other concerts I have been to at the Rave have been on bigger stages, so there was much more hype and a lot more space to dance and move around,” says Lipske.
He also says, “It was very hot in the room, and when everyone is so close together, it becomes overwhelming.”
He says, “I have never heard of a lot of the songs that he performed. I mainly just knew the song ‘I Hate U I Love U’ because that is the most popular song.”
Also in attendance was Arrowhead senior, Hunter Pinkalla. This was his first time at the Rave/Eagles Club and describes the event as “Very fun. The performance was great.”
Pinkalla is attending the SchoolBoy Q concert at the Rave/Eagles Club on October 29th. “The music performed by Gnash isn’t really the style of music I listen to, but Gnash was a very good performer and was good at getting the crowds attention,” says Pinkalla.
He says his favorite songs performed at the concert were “I Hate U I Love U” and “You Only Call Me When It’s Raining Out.”
Ellie Artone, a sophomore at Arrowhead, also attended this event. She says, “When I heard that Gnash was coming to the Rave/Eagles Club, I couldn’t contain my excitement and I wanted to get tickets right away.”
Artone says she got her tickets from one of her best friends who gave them to her as a birthday surprise.
“The concert was everything I hoped for it to be. He played all of my favorite songs and he was such a good performer,” she says. Gnash played Artone’s two favorite songs: “Leave a Message” and “Closure.”
She says “I had so much fun at this concert, and the next time he comes to Milwaukee, I will definitely be in attendance.”
Gnash is currently finishing his “u, me, and us” tour, and his next stop is the House of Blues in San Francisco, California.
