Arrowhead High School Postpones Homecoming Parade

Gloomy Skies Hang Over Arrowhead.

On Sunday, September 25, 2016, Arrowhead High School was forced to postpone the annual homecoming parade due to rain and thunderstorms. The parade has been rescheduled for this Friday, September 30, at 4:30 PM.

Becky Gordon, associate principal at Arrowhead sent out an email on Tuesday, September 27 announcing the new date for the Parade.

“Good Morning AHS ~ It is a great time to be an Arrowhead Warhawk and show your school spirit! The Homecoming Parade will take place Friday, September 30 at 4:45!  Free candy will be tossed your way so you gotta go!! Please join us for Hawkfest as well which runs from 4:00-8:00 on Friday! And don’t forget the football game at 7:00! We look forward to seeing you!”

Erin Schaubel is a junior at Arrowhead High School.

“I was really bummed about the homecoming parade being cancelled, but it made total sense the weather was crazy on Sunday,” Schaubel says. “I’m glad they’re rescheduling it. It’s not really the homecoming spirit without it.”

Hawkfest is scheduled to continue on September 30 beginning at 4 PM and ending at 9 PM. Hawkfest will be located in the North Campus main parking lot as well as the athletic parking lot.
