New Addition to the Kardashian West Clan
According to times.com, the famously known Kardashian, Jenner, and West family grew by one more when Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed their second child last week, a son.
The times.com also stated that Kardashian West gave birth in Los Angeles at the Cedar Sinai Hospital on Sunday, December 5. The baby weighed eight pounds and one ounce. The couple named their firstborn North West, leaving many fans wondering if they would continue the direction theme before the birth of the new baby.
According to people.com, Kardashian decided not to give the baby a middle name. North also does not a middle name.
According to ibtimes.co.uk, Kardashian West said, “I don’t like South West though, because North will always be better, and she has a better direction,” she said. “I wouldn’t do that [set them up in conflict with each other].
According to instagram.com, the West’s decided to name their newborn son Saint West. West announced the name on instagram featuring a photo of four emojis captioned “SAINT WEST.”
Of 20 Arrowhead students surveyed, 16 said they thought North was a better name than Saint. The other four said Saint was an interesting name. Sarah Smith, a senior at Arrowhead, claimed it was more inventive and unique than the name North West.
A source told Us Weekly that the proud parents referred to their baby as “Saint” before his delivery because the child was a miracle baby. As chronicled on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” last season, West struggled with getting pregnant and explored various options to conceive her son.
According to KimKardashianWest.com, Kardashian West is officially taking placenta pills to avoid postpartum depression. “I’m having it freeze-dried and made into a pill form — not actually fry it like a steak and eat it (which some people do, BTW),” she shared in a new post on her website.
Richa Karmarkar, a junior at Arrowhead said, “I think that [Kardashian West’s] kids names are interesting. Being someone who has a unique name as well, I find it comforting that celebrities give their children unconventional names not found in society.”
According to hollywoodlife.com, Kardashian West’s older sister Kourtney Kardashian is against the name Saint and laughed when she heard it. They reported that Scott Disick’s nickname “The Lord” created fuel in the naming of Saint West based on the originality. Disick is the father to all three of Kardashian’s kids.
Howmanyofme.com reports that there are less than 1,600 people in the United States with the first name Saint.
Brandon Rivero, a senior at Arrowhead said, “I secretly love “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and I am so happy for Kim and Kanye.”
