Talent Welcomed at Arrowhead: Netassia Nufer
Netassia Nufer is a Junior at Arrowhead high school. She has been in the Broadway Company for the first time this year as a junior, and has so far, she says, very much enjoyed the club. Nufer’s favorite classes are acting and choir.
“I am more right brained than left brained,” says Nufer. “I don’t like math very much, but I am very creative.”
Nufer has won awards for singing, including going to state vocal ensemble for choir.
Nufer says she decided to try out for Broadway because she was not very busy after school, and she wanted to get involved in Arrowheads musicals. She is not sure where she will take her acting and singing after high school, but for right now she is enjoying it.
“I have a lot on my mind about what I want to do. I might go into endocrinology to study diabetes, I might want to be a singer or even a baker. But I’m just not sure ye,” says Nufer.
Nefer says she is interested in endocrinology because she is type 1 diabetic. She says endocrinology deals with the endocrine system, which is your pancreas and digestive system.
“Because I’m type 1 diabetic, I already know allot about endocrinology, and I think looking further into it would be interesting, as well as make a good career,” says Nufer.
Nufer says she also enjoys writing and composition.
As for baking, Nufer says, “I like to put allot of effort into my cakes. I have spent up to eight hours preparing a cake, and I enjoy decorating them with fondant.”
Nufer says her favorite classes are choir and acting, and she likes Broadway because it combines both her favorite things.
“Trying out for Broadway was incredibly nerve racking, but I took her glasses during the audition which helped because I could not see the evaluators,” says Nufer.
“Broadway has been allot of fun, and is definitely something I would recommend to other students,” says Nufer.
