Michael Thompson’s College Application Process
He says he applied to MSOE as a back-up if he decides he wanted to be an engineer.
“I’m looking into majors like music, music theatre, and software engineering,” says Thompson.
Thompson says he has been accepted by UW Eau Claire and MSOE. He has yet to hear back from UW Madison. However, Thompson is confident he will get accepted.
“I have a good ACT [score] and I’ve kept my GPA high enough, I just applied really late,” says Thompson.
He says Madison is the college he wishes to attend.
“[My advice to juniors is to not] put off aArrowhead Senior Michael Thompson says he began searching for colleges around April of 2014. After he took the ACT, he sent out his scores to the different colleges he was interested in attending.
He sent his ACT scores to University of Wisconsin Madison, University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Thompson says he started writing and applying to colleges on November 2nd, 2014.
“I was looking for colleges that offered a lot of different majors and programs. Since I don’t know what I want to do I want to be able to choose from a wide breadth of majors,” says Thompson.
