Arrowhead To Play Kimberly at State
The 2014 WIAA Division I Football State game will be taking place on November 21, 2014 at 4pm. The two teams playing are Arrowhead High School and Kimberly High School. The game will take place at Camp Randall Stadium on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
Greg Malling, the head Arrowhead football coach, has coached the Arrowhead team for four years and said, “Each of the past two years we’ve won by 21, but Kimberly is a different story. We clearly are the underdogs, and that’s a great feeling.”
Both Arrowhead and Kimberly were 2014 Conference Champions.
On the road to the state game, Arrowhead surpassed Bay Port, defeating them 42-28.
Kimberly beat Marquette with a similar score of 48-16.
Malling said, “[Being] focused and relaxed is the key. We didn’t play a perfect game by any means [against Bay Port], but we stayed locked in and trusted each other.”
On Friday, the high temperature is supposed to be 27 degrees, with the low in the teens. With the wind chill, it will feel like 13 degrees.
