Some Seniors Feel Voting Irrelevant

Arrowhead students anticipate the upcoming election between Scott Walker and Mary Burke for governor. For some students this is the first time that they will vote in the election this november 4th.

Current Governor Scott Walker is running for governor and is currenting in the lead. He was the first republican to serve as a Milwaukee county executive.  In January 2011 he became Wisconsin’s 45th governor. According to his campaign site he has cut down taxes by 2 billion for taxpayers in Wisconsin. Property taxes are reportedly lower than they were in 2014. According to Scott Walker’s campaign Website, his number one priority is to create more jobs in Wisconsin.

“  I don’t vote because I am just one person. Unless I have other people voting with me who have the same idea’s as me voting then i’m not gonna make a difference,” says senior Arrowhead Aubrey Kallenberger

“ Just one person out of so many people is not going to make a difference in the outcome,” says senior Sammi Brossmab.

“ I am going to vote because I want to make a difference and every vote does make a difference. I feel like its a privilege for us to be able to vote.” says senior Garrett Deboer.

“I wouldn’t vote because I find most politician to be idiotic. They pretty much do nothing based on party lines they don’t know how to fix anything besides making money and getting for for themselfs.  Plus even even if I did vote I am a moderate so as long as you’re smart and if your views make sense to me,” says senior Jordan Burken“

“ I am excited for this election because its the first time I get to vote. I want to vote for Walker because its just between him Mary Burke and I really dont want to vote for her,” Says Dillon Steile
