Testing and senior breakfast bring break from normal AHS schedule
October 13th starts the week of PSAT testing for freshmen and sophomores at Arrowhead High School. Because seniors are not part of the testing, they are to report to their 5th hour class or lunch by 10:26 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
On Wednesday, seniors will have a senior breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. After the senior breakfast, a motivational speaker will talk on behalf of this year’s class of 2015. Seniors will also take their class picture.
While the seniors are eating breakfast and attending the assembly, the juniors have their PSAT testing.
Ricki Galstad, a senior at Arrowhead High School, says that she’s looking forward to this year’s senior breakfast.
“I remember when I was younger, I would always be jealous of all the upperclassmen that got to have breakfast in the morning at school, and now I get to be that person,” says Galstad.
Galstad says she is looking forward to the senior assembly because it is when all the seniors take their picture on the bleachers.
“It’ll be something to look back at in future years with all of our classmates together in one pictures. I can’t wait,” says Galstad.
Morgan Merbeth, also a senior at Arrowhead High School, says she loves all the perks of being a senior.
“I don’t have to come to school until 11 o’clock most days next week and one of the days I have to come is for the senior breakfast which is so nice. I’ve never gotten that opportunity throughout high school,” says Merbeth.
