Language Arts teacher Jeffery Carter has just begun his second year at Arrowhead. This year, he is teaching both AP Language and Composition. Before his year at Arrowhead, he taught at Hartford High School for 20 years.
“On the day of the AP test, there were a lot of students who came and saw me who were really excited and happy with how the test went,” Mr. Carter said. “It was nice to see the full year of work hit that day, and they could see all these little things and assignments and say, ‘that’s why we were doing it all, to make the test so easy.’” The finale of the AP test and his first year at Arrowhead definitely set an optimistic tone and precedent for Mr. Carter’s 2025-2026 school year.
“Last year was a transition year; now it’s more about trying to get things in place in the curriculum,” Mr. Carter said about the differences between last year and this year. The school wishes him luck as he continues his second year and hopes it ends on the same positive note as the year before. Arrowhead High School is truly lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate teacher as Mr. Carter.
