Ms. Budnik is a 10th-grade English teacher who began teaching last year. Before she arrived at Arrowhead, she taught at Dominican High School and Wauwatosa East, instructing students in various subjects, including English 10, Writing for Publication, Speculative Fiction, Communications & Composition, and Realism in Literature.
This year marks her 6th year of teaching. With the guidance of an impactful teacher who served as a role model and Ms. Budnik’s love for literature, it all led her to want to achieve the same positive impact on her own students. She describes that the best part of being a teacher is getting to know the kids and watching them grow, learn, and succeed. Ms. Budnik is proud of all her students and is grateful to teach three different grades, which allows her to see some of her students again.
When Ms. Budnik is not teaching, one of her favorite places to be is outside. She enjoys running on trails, ziplining, whitewater rafting, and camping, but when she’s at home, she loves to read and cook. She likes to try new recipes every week, sometimes spending time adjusting the recipe until it’s just right. One rule in her kitchen is that raw carrots and cooked broccoli are never served together. Ms. Budnik also has a beloved cat named Luna. Her dream vacation is traveling around Europe. She’d love to see new stunning sights and try delicious cuisine.
