Tomorrow marks a milestone day for the Arrowhead community as the Marching Warhawks take the field for their final performance of the season. With homecoming celebrations, senior night and the last marching band show all taking place, the day is packed with school spirit and emotion.
The festivities kick off with a pep rally at 1 p.m., followed by the annual homecoming parade at 4:30 p.m. The excitement builds into the evening with the band’s lot preview and the big game starting at 7 p.m., promising a memorable sendoff for the senior musicians who have helped shape the heart of Arrowhead’s marching tradition.
The Marching Warhawks’ final performance of the season will feature the themed show, “In the Journey,” which includes three popular tunes: Carry Me On My Wayward Son, High Hopes and Take Me Home, Country Roads.
This year’s senior class includes Charlie Wallgren on trumpet; Hailey Mehring and Nick Villa, both drum majors; Mya Zuniga on clarinet; Adia Mae-Feiker on flute; and several others.
“I am sad that our last game is tomorrow, it has gone so fast, these four years, and I still remember it like it was Freshman year, but now we’re going to be graduating,”Adia Mae-Feiker, senior, said.
During halftime, senior students will be recognized alongside their parents and will receive gifts from senior parents in appreciation for their contributions to the band program.
