Meet Mr. Beyer, an English 10 and English 11 teacher, who is in his first year at Arrowhead. He was born and raised in southeast Wisconsin, living in a small town called Union Grove throughout his childhood. His parents have a hobby farm with alpacas, donkeys, pigs, chickens, bees, and many more. Nolan attended Grand Canyon University in Arizona to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in English. From there, he came to Arrowhead to become an English teacher.
Mr. Beyer decided to come to Arrowhead because they were offering to take him, and his mom went to this school (class of 1994). Mr. Beyer wants to start and finish his career at Arrowhead High School, as he has always wanted to be a teacher. Mr. Beyer originally wanted to be a kindergarten-2nd grade teacher until junior year of high school, when his teacher looked at his essay and told him he should be a high school teacher.
Mr. Beyer’s hobbies are lifting weights 5 times a week, as he likes to stay active. He enjoys rock climbing and playing sports, especially basketball, which is his favorite sport. Mr. Beyer also likes to read in his free time; his favorite book is Metamorphosis by Kafka, and a book he just finished is called Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton.
