Starting in the 2025-2026 year, Arrowhead is offering three new film studies classes at the school. The three new classes are “Literature and Film”, “Social Studies and Film”, and “Music and Film.” All classes are available for grades 10+, apart from “Social Studies and Film,” which is offered at grade 11. “Music and Film” will count for a Fine Arts credit if you decide to take it.
Each course will look into specific films and deconstruct the elements of them for a better understanding of how films are manufactured and how specific elements are used in film.
“This class is pretty fun,” Chase Fish, junior, said. “I’m looking forward to looking at films and how they use sounds and music.”
