On Friday, September 12th, Arrowhead DECA had its annual Hawkfest event. From 4:00 to 7:00 PM, students, staff, family, and community members attended the event, which featured games, food, inflatables, and more.
For food, there was Chick-fil-A, Little DippeRz, Picnic Basket, Dough Nation, and Rocky Rococo. DECA also had workers making and serving cotton candy.
For inflatables, there was an obstacle course, bungee run, bounce castle, inflatable basketball battle, tic tac toe, super slide, soccer kick game, and more.
DECA also had games of its own, like ring toss, cornhole, and mini golf. The most popular game appeared to be the dunk tank, where players could throw balls at a target that would drop on a teacher. The proceeds of that event went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“I had a very fun time, and I think it went very well,” Ashley Megal, junior, said. “I worked the event and thought all the other students and adults working at Hawkfest were very nice.”
“I thought that Hawkfest was packed with excitement and had a bunch of fun booths,” Hadley Ersbo, junior, said.
Overall, Hawkfest 2025, presented by Arrowhead DECA, appeared to be a hit, raising money for charities and the club.
