On Friday, September 12th, Arrowhead DECA is hosting its annual Hawkfest from 4-7 PM. The festival contains an evening full of music, games, attractions, food and fun for all ages. The night will feature the Arrowhead Warhawks varsity football team taking on Pewaukee High School at 7:00 pm. Sponsors such as the Milwaukee Brewers, Orthopedic Associates of Wisconsin and a variety of local businesses donate money to Hawkfest, then DECA sends portions of the proceeds to MDA, which is the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Hawkfest will have tons of food vendors, including Chick-fil-A, Dough Nation, Picnic Basket, Rocky Rococos and Little Dipperz. Also, be sure to check out the t-shirts and wristband booth for tickets for the inflatables. Hawkfest will have a dunk tank featuring Arrowhead teachers and staff such as Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Morgan, Mr. Fechter, Mr. Delain and more. Make sure to also check out all the booths attending Hawkfest to get involved with new clubs and new organizations.
Sami McDonald, a senior at Arrowhead, said, “My favorite part about Hawkfest is dressing up, volunteering for Warhawk Interact and then attending the football game after.” This year’s theme is USA for both Hawkfest and the student section at the football game.
Arrowhead staff member Mrs. Narvaez said, “I love supporting the theme and seeing all the kids have a really great time.” Mrs. Melton, one of Arrowhead’s greeters, said, “Seeing the band play during Hawkfest and seeing how excited people get about the football game are my favorite parts.”
Hawkfest will be a great night to come out and watch the football team and support Arrowhead DECA, along with MDA and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. Celebrate youth night with the football team and support a great night of fun, games and Arrowhead spirit by coming to Hawkfest.
