Lady Gaga released her 7th album called Mayhem on March 7, 2025, through Streamline and Interscope Records. The album contains 14 songs: “Abracadabra,” “Die With A Smile,” “Blade of Grass,” “Disease,” “Don’t Call Tonight,” “Garden Of Eden,” “How Bad Do U Want Me,” “Killah,” “LoveDrug,” “Perfect Celebrity,” “Shadow Of A Man,” “The Beast,” “Vanish Into You,” and “Zombieboy.”
As of now, the most popular song on the album is “Abracadabra.” Since it was released on February 3, 2025, that was in the top 5 of the Billboard Global 200. Lady Gaga collaborated with producers such as Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein that resulted in the album ranging in genres such as disco, pop, rock, and dance-pop.
Mayhem also includes a collaboration with Bruno Mars in the song, “Die with a Smile,”which won the Grammy Award for the Best Pop Duo performance at the 67th annual Grammy Awards.
Lots of critics said how similar this album is compared to “The Fame,” another one of her albums. This album also used musical inspirations from pop artists such as David Bowie, Madonna, Micheal Jackson, Prince, and Blondie.
Gaga’s inspiration for this album was created from a period of personal challenges. She also describes her album as a “transgressive journey through genres” that reflects her musical influences and life experiences. Gaga said that this album was really special to her, as it describes her different stages in life and used her past as inspiration for the album.
My personal favorite song on the album is “Abracadabra”, as the music video reminded me a lot of her older songs with the fast beat and creative lyrics. Her new album has impressive vocals and clever lyrics that really show how talented of an artist she is.
Lady Gaga is a very impressive singer and this album showed yet again how gifted a singer and producer she is.
