Sonic 3 is a movie based on the old Sonic video games released on June 23, 1991, and Sonic 3 was released on December 20, 2024.
The movies bring the video games to life by adding all the original characters from the games and implying them into an action packed film.
The stars of the film of the movie are Ben Schwartz (Sonic), Idris Elba (Knuckles), Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Tails), Keanu Reeves (Shadow), James Marsden (Tom), Tika Sumpter (Maddie) and Jim Carrey (Doctor Eggman).
Although Reeves is new to the series, he played the role very well and fits his character in the film. There is no one else that could have played Shadow better than Keanu Reeves. Sonic 3 for sure would not have been as good as a movie without him.
Sonic 3 has so far made the most lifetime gross over the last two Sonic movies. All together the movie franchise has made over $1 billion worldwide. The movies are great if you’re looking for action and comedy.
The movie shows how loss can change a person inside and fill them with anger and rage. In the movie, Sonic represents how he moved past his loss and found a new family to be with, while Shadow represents how much loss can change someone.
Sonic 3 brings lots of action and comedy that entertain throughout the whole movie. The movie is appropriate for all ages, and I recommend watching it.
