At Arrowhead High School, many juniors are currently preparing for the March ACT test. For a lot of students, the ACT is a very important opportunity to stand out from their colleges.
The ACT test covers four subjects: science, math, reading, and English. The science section of the test is 40 questions and 35 minutes long that focuses on data analysis, experiments, interpreting scientific information, and more. As for math, there are 60 questions for 60 minutes that cover algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and problem-solving. The reading section is 40 questions for 35 minutes that measures reading comprehension and your ability to understand passages. Finally, the English section is 75 questions for 45 minutes that tests grammar, punctuation, and sentence structures.
Methodize is a great tool for Arrowhead students, as it contains 18 lessons that help students review all different sections of the ACT test. Methodize contains a surplus of practice quizzes, tests, and videos that help students prepare for the testing. There is also Xello that can help students properly prepare for testing in March.
Another great way to study for ACT testing is by creating a study plan. This format can be very successful for high school students as it allows them to prepare for the ACT for a prolonged amount of time before it is time to take it. A good strategy is to gradually build knowledge and test awareness by focusing on one subject at a time, then focusing on other subjects once feeling more confident on the last subject.
There are many different steps one can take for studying for the ACT and all can be beneficial for students. It is recommended to study for several different occasions over time to better one’s knowledge for the test.
The ACT testing is a very important part of a high schooler’s life; however, it is very important to stay positive during and after the test because one test does not determine a student’s future.
