Creative Writing, is an English class at Arrowhead that has had two teachers in a year. Creative Writing was supposed to be taught by Mrs. Jorgensen, but she left just a few days before school started. Arrowhead instead had to reach out to a retired Arrowhead English teacher, Mr. Rauch.
Mr. Rauch is a retired English teacher of Arrowhead who was brought back for one more year to teach Arrowhead students. He taught ninth grade English before he retired in 2024. He was not expecting to come back again after he retired, but came back one last semester to take place for Mrs. Jorgensen for the classes she taught.
Due to Mr. Rauch’s available working hours, he was only able to work full time for the first semester at Arrowhead. Because of this, Arrowhead had to find a new teacher to teach Creative Writing during the second semester.
The new Creative Writing teacher is Mr. Meyer. Mr. Meyer is 67 years old and this semester he’s teaching Creative Writing and World Literature.
Mr. Meyer is a retired teacher who taught English and Physical Education for 38 years. After retiring, Meyer became a long term sub and is now 19 years retired from full time teaching.
After the position at Arrowhead opened for the second semester, he gladly accepted. “Never met a place more welcoming ever.” Meyer said. “Best place I have taught.”
With Mr. Meyer returning back to Arrowhead High School for the fourth time, he is very glad for the opportunity.
Mr. Meyer is the current teacher for Creative Writing and World Literature.
