Business and marketing teachers and students talked to 9th and 10th graders during resource period on January 30th and 11th and 12th graders during resource period on January 31st to review the business and marketing course guide and experiences.
Arrowhead offers 18 business and marketing courses taught by eight different teachers. These courses are divided into four categories: Business Administration / Management, Marketing and Sales, Finance / Accounting, and Information Technology.
Accounting is a year-long course for 10th-12th graders intending to explore the field as a career, for those going into other occupations in the business world, and for those who want to learn record keeping for personal use. AP Microeconomics is a year-long class designed to give 11th-12th grade students a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that affect the decision-making process of both consumers and producers within the American economic system. Career and Employment Success is a semester-long course for 9th-12th grade students to explore different areas of career interests and has a strong focus on developing essential employability skills. College Accounting is a year-long course to prepare 11th-12th grade students to pursue a variety of college business majors, including accounting, marketing, management, finance, international business, or economics. It is under the Finance / Accounting category and the prerequisite course is Accounting.
College Personal Finance (CAPP) is a new course for 11th-12th grade students and will will develop an understanding of financial skills and strategies. While covering similar content to Personal Finance. This course is taught at a faster pace at the college level by a CAPP instructor. It is under the Finance / Accounting category and there is no prerequisite course.
Computer Essentials is a semester-long course for 9th- 10th grade students that will provide a foundation for the ever-changing technology skills used in day-to-day life. It is under the Information Technology category and there are no prerequisite courses.
Entrepreneurship Venture is a semester-long course for 11th-12th grade students that have a passion for starting their own business and developing entrepreneurial skills. It is under the Marketing and Sales category and there are no prerequisite courses.
Intro to Business is a semester-long course that exposes 9th-10th grade students to the ins and outs of corporate America. It is under the Business Administration / Management, Marketing and Sales, and Finance / Accounting categories and there are no prerequisite courses.
Marketing and Business is a semester-long course for 10th-12th grade students that focuses on the marketing mix: product planning, pricing, promotion, place (distribution), and target marketing. It is under the Marketing and Sales category and there are no prerequisite courses.
Multimedia / Graphic Applications is a semester-long course for 9th-10th grade students who wish to learn modern research, reporting, and publishing skills that are essential to understanding information from multiple platforms with plenty of hands-on projects. It is under the Information Technology category and there are no prerequisite courses.
Personal Finance is a semester-long course to prepare 10th-12th grade students with the skills and knowledge needed to shape their financial future. This is under the Finance / Accounting category and there are no prerequisite courses. Beginning with the class of 2028, Personal Finance must be completed as part of the Graduation Requirements.

Study Skills and Strategies is a semester-long course that introduces and reinforces the following: discovering your learning style, organization, test-taking strategies, time management, memory, concentration, goal setting, mindset, accountability, and critical thinking to 9th-10th grade students. This is under the Business Administration / Management and there are no prerequisite courses.
Web Design is a semester-long course that introduces 11th-12th grade students to the basics of website design and development. This is under the Information Technology category and there are no prerequisite courses.
Youth Apprenticeship is a year-long course designed for 11th-12th grade students who wish to further their skills related to a specific career in one of the following areas: Accounting, Banking, or Insurance. Through this program, students will be mentored by professionals outside of school and be paid for their employment. An approved employment location allows for students to complete a skills-based competency checklist that earns them a Wisconsin State Certificate of Completion.
