On July 10th, the AUHS School Board authorized two referendum questions for the November 5th, 2024 ballot. The first yes-or-no question was about the Operating Referendum and the other was about the Facilities Referendum to build a new high school.
The Operating Referendum passed with 50.8% of voters approved it.
The Facilities Referendum failed with 58.5% of voters voted against it.
“The need to address our aging buildings is not going away, so the School Board and the Administration will continue to work with our community until we come up with a solution that a majority of residents support,” Conrad Farner, Arrowhead Superintendent, said in a statement about the voters’ rejection for funds for a new school building.
