Jeffery Carter, the new 11th grade AP Language teacher came to Arrowhead at the beginning of this school year from Hartford to teach English.
When moving from Hartford, Carter thought Arrowhead seemed to be a logical option for him to teach at because of the positive reviews he had heard about the school and community.
Carter noted how Arrowhead is similar to other schools by using canvas, online platforms, checking out books, computer usage, and more.
When questioned about the block schedule,“I feel like it’s sort of nice because you can take time to have discussions and use work time or other things so it feels like there is a lot more flexibility,” said Carter, “pressure and anxiety seems to be a little bit less with the block schedule, so overall I like it,” Carter continued.
Throughout his years of teaching, Carter says his favorite part of teaching is, “when a student realizes or does something well that they didn’t think or expect that they could do well; that kind of moment of satisfaction or joy is just one of the things I really look forward to in teaching,” Carter noted.
“Lang is one of my favorite classes this year,” junior Lucy Hindle, one of Carter’s students, said.
