Spooky Haunted House Season Has Arrived
BOO! Halloween is near. And that means haunted houses are reopening, ready to scare.

Arrowhead senior Nicole Hospel says, “I heard Fear Grounds was really scary and I can’t wait to go.”

Waukesha Fear Grounds contains four haunted houses including Morgan Manor, Unstable, Carnevil of Torment, and new in 2015, Morgana’s Escape. Morgan Manor’s background is Morgana and her 8 sisters that feed on your fear in this den of horror.
Unstable is when Morgana and her minions find refuge in the stables and unleash more horror. Next is Carnevil of Torment. Morgana and her wicked sisters have once again bewitched another new crop of minions to do their “evil” bidding.
The new site, Morgana’s Escape, is when one walks into a dark room and the door locks behind. A stranger appears in a light, and doesn’t let any escape. Terrible horror will be unleashed upon all.
The next top rated haunted house, according to Wisconsin Haunted House Rating website, is Spooky Hollow Haunted Barn in Mondovi in the Northwestern part of Wisconsin. According to their website, it’s a family-run haunted barn. It includes a haunted corn maze and a haunted barn. Their hours run from 7pm to 11pm. $7 per person is the cost. They’re open October 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st.
Arrowhead senior Jasmine Case says, “Hills Have Eyes was really scary. I got chased with a chainsaw.” The Hills Have Eyes is located in Franklin, Wisconsin.

The Hills Have Eyes includes five attractions. The first is Hooded. Following that is Failed Escape. According the Hills Have Eyes website, there’s only one way out of this haunted location: straight through Ray’s infested auto salvage yard. The lucky ones are eaten first, while the rest are kept alive only for the amusement of the mutant hillbillies. They’re chased, captured and caged like animals until they are harvested.
Hunger Hollow, located deep in the chemical soaked woods surrounding the Milwaukee landfill, the mutant cannibal hillbillies abandoned their last shred of humanity, giving in fully their hunger for human flesh. When walking into the woods, people see the captured skinned alive, butchered and eaten before the eyes. There is no escape from the haunted woods of Hunger Hollow. To enter is to become like them, forfeiting your humanity either willingly or by force. All souls are offered freely to The Demon and all exits leads to his realm. All according to the website.
Next is the Scare Lift. The restless dead still operate the Scare Lift, pulling the lift into the horror of The Demon’s realm. There is no choice but to board the decrepit death trap or forever linger in the woods as a zombie; according to the Hills Have Eyes website. The Scare Lift goes up hill, taking the Scare Lift to the next attraction (all from experience).
Carnivore, the devil’s carnival. According to the website, people will meet homicidal Siamese twins, fire breathing freaks, even the spawn of Satan himself. Sense of reality will wrap as you pass into the midway. Carnivore is the last haunt of the night.
