Arrowhead Students Get Excited for Spring
Spring break for Arrowhead students starts on April 18th and goes through the 25th. As of right now, there are 10 weeks until spring break and students are getting very excited. Outside activities become more popular like golfing, going on bike rides, and fishing.
During spring break, Arrowhead students and staff are excited for spring to come as more parks open up and outdoor activities become easier to participate in as weather warms up.
John Hoch, a teacher at Arrowhead, says, “ I am very excited for spring break because I don’t do a lot in the winter and I’m ready to get out and do active things outside.”
Alec Harmeyer, a senior at Arrowhead, says he is excited for spring because his favorite sport that he participates in, track, starts in the spring.
“I really excited to start running outside this spring because I would much rather run outside than run indoors,” says Harmeyer.
Hoch says he is excited for spring sports because he recently started learning how to play golf and is excited to keep practicing it. Hoch says he is also excited for baseball season because he likes watching Arrowhead baseball and also is on a one night per week baseball team with his friends from college that he is looking forward to.
“I’m excited to keep practicing golf because I just recently started playing it and I want to improve my skills this spring. I’m also super pumped for my baseball team to start practicing together. My friends and I always have so much fun when we play baseball,” says Hoch.
Along with spring, Harmeyer and Hoch are excited for next semester to come around with new classes.
“I’m so excited for my new classes when second semester starts. The new classes make me even more excited for spring and spring sports to come,” says Harmeyer.
“My main excitement about next semester coming is the fresh start to all new classes that comes with it,” says Hoch.
Harmeyer’s goals for next semester include getting better grades, completing all of his assignments, and finishing first in at least two of his races come track season.
Hoch’s goals include helping all of his students getting passing grades to complete the year.
