45th President of the United States Inaugurated on January 20th

On January 20th, 2017, Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was inaugurated using two Bibles.

As thesun.co.uk says, “Trump was sworn in using two Bibles – his own, and the one used by Abraham Lincoln at his first inauguration in 1861, and the oath will be administered by Chief Justice John Roberts.”

When former President Barack Obama was sworn in, he swore on the Bible that was used by former President Abraham Lincoln- when he took oath for his first term in 1861. The second Bible Obama swore on was the “travelling Bible” used by Martin Luther King, Junior said voanews.com.

As today.com says, Trump used one of his Bibles that his mother gave him before he turned nine. The other Bible was the one used by Abraham Lincoln. The only other president to use the Lincoln Bible

Jackie Evancho, who was the America’s Got Talent winner in 2010,  sang the National Anthem at the inauguration.

During his inaugural speech, Trump said, “Today will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again…We are transferring power from Washington and giving it back to you, the people.”

As he spoke to 900,000 Americans, he vowed to unite America. He said, “When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.” He also added that that day would be remembered as the day  people become rulers of the nation again. He said, “We are transferring power from Washington and giving it back to you, the people.”

Highlighting from his speech Trump said “You will never be ignored again.” He added America’s goals: “We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.”

He instilled hope as he said, “We must think big and dream even bigger.”

President Donald Trump signed the official documents that marked the beginning of his presidency at the US Capitol while surrounded by his wife Melania and the rest of this family.

CBS News journalist Emily Schultheis reported that Trump plans to build the wall later this month. “‘As soon as we can, as soon as we can physically do it,’ he told ABC News in an interview. ‘I would say in months, yeah. I would say in months–certainly planning is starting immediately.’” She included in the article that Mexico will ”reimburse” America for the wall in a way.

Trump said, “It will be a form, perhaps a complicated form.”

Trump said that Mexico will pay for 100 percent of the wall, though Mexico repeatedly said that they will not pay for the wall.

As abcnews.com says, Trump comfirmed that the U.S. taxpayers willl start the construction in payments but the reimbursement will follow.

As of January 25, 2017, Trump was expected to sign executive orders to build up security on the US and Mexico border later this week. This includes directing money to start building his wall as well as limiting legal immigration to the US for refugees that were fleeing from persecution and visa-holders from several majority Muslim countries.

As thesun.co.uk said, Trump promised to deport more than two million criminal illegal immigrants. He also threatened to cancel visas to any country that refuses to accept its people being returned.
